What Our Visitors Say

“I was thoroughly impressed with the facility…All the kids on our trip couldn’t stop talking about this being the best choir tour they had ever been on and that is all due to your facility and help with finding us places to serve and perform…”

- D. Meggs, Bluff Park United Methodist, Birmingham, AL

Parking. There are three parking spaces available at WSC.   Each will accomodate up to a 15 passenger van or mini-bus.  Charter buses can park at Union Station, which is 8 blocks away.

Riding. The DC public transit consists of both an underground metrorail system and a bus system. We are located just a few blocks from two metro stations - Capitol South and Eastern Market - and on a major bus line.  Plan your trips around town using the metro trip planner.

Walking. Back in the neighborhood, you can walk to everything you need for your stay - local restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops. In fact, WSC earned a score of “94 - walker’s paradise”at Walkscore.com. Check out the interactive neighborhood map on our location page.

Weather. Check out the DC weather forecast before you leave!

Safety. WSC is located in a pretty safe neighborhood. That being said, it’s always good to follow a few city-life precautions.  In large groups, use a buddy system at night.  Should you need them, the local police substation is located 4 blocks away at 500 E Street SE Washington DC, 202-698-0068.

Fun stuff to do. In addition to the ideas listed on our fun and exploration page, consider the many recommendations from groups like About.com, National Geographic Traveler, Fodors, Thingstodo.com, or the almost-free options listed at Washington.org.
