Accommodations

Location        Rates       Sharing the WSC       Floor Plan

The Washington Seminar Center provides space for groups of 15 to 60 people. One large room is available for seminars and meetings; three smaller rooms are available for sleeping space; and an adjoining fully-equipped kitchen. Beds and mattresses are provided, but guests need to bring their own bedding, pillows, and towels.  There are four restrooms each with a sink, toilet and shower.

Groups may be asked to share the facility with another group of similar age.  You may learn more about sharing the WSC.

What is Available at WSC

  • Fully-equipped commercial kitchen — 3 refrigerators, 2 coffee maker, stove and oven, toaster, microwave, dishes (limited), silverware, cookware, dishtowels, and plastic storage containers
  • Three parking spaces, each large enough to accommodate a 15-person van or mini-bus (more information on parking here)
  • Wireless Internet for programming and moderate personal use
  • Television (limited reception) with DVD player
  • Couches and lounge space
  • Air Conditioning
  • Iron and ironing board
  • Security closet (if sharing the WSC with another group)
  • Welcome Packet with local maps, transit instructions, and information specific to your visit
  • Red Binder of local information regarding grocery stores, accessing health care, laundry, etc.
  • Leaders Closet with first aid kit, facilitation supplies, maps and dinning information
  • Cleaning supplies — mops, brooms, sponges, paper towels, trash bags, disinfectant cleaner, and toilet paper

What You Should Bring to WSC

  • Linens — including sleeping bags, sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels
  • Clothing — if you are doing service work, you will need long pants, modest tops, and closed-toe shoes.Please don’t bring clothing with inappropriate slogans.
  • Kitchen supplies — food, napkins, soap, and condiments
